1. Vibration in the machine |
-
It may be due to improper
alignment between flywheel and motor pulley - get it properly
alignments.
- Loose foundation bolts -
get it tightened
-
Stresses or improper
alignment of suction and delivery lines with respect to the
compressor suction strainer
-
If
foundation is not RCC and made of R.B. then vibration will be
there
Improper location of machine on the foundation
-
If
common cross rail for compressor and motor pulley is used then
motor's vibration will transmitted to the compressor. Hence
take corrective action to remove the vibration of motor. If
necessary fill the gap between the foundation and cross rail
by concrete, after tightening all foundation bolts and motor
-
Improper fitment of shaft
key with flywheel which will cause flywheel to wobble
- Even if vibrations
are there then first find out vibration due to suction pipe
line or delivery pipe line by following steps :
| a.
|
Tight all the
foundation bolts of compressor and motor |
| b.
|
Properly align the
flywheel and the motor pulley |
|
c. |
Remove the
delivery valve from the pipe line and start the
compressor. Then vibration will be highlighted if it is in
present. |
|
d. |
Similarly fit the delivery valve in the pipe line and
remove suction valve from line and start the compressor
and highlight the vibration and get it properly align to
the header |
|
|
|
2. More Oil Consumption |
-
Low suction pressure to
compressor - It may be due to over size of compressor compared
to the system
-
Less fit things and coil in the
evaporate coil
-
In effective dia of coil
-
If system problem is not
rectified due to hurry then run the compressor on 650 RPM
temporarily.
-
VLD O ring may be oversize -
change
-
Teflon ring may be got
undersize - change
-
If still oil consumption is
more then remove the head cover, start the compressor after
removing delivery valve, stroke limitor, buffer spring,
suction ring and spring. If more oil accommodate under top of
piston, then it is the indication of worn out of piston rings.
- Get it change
-
Small leakages in the pipe line
- No use of branded refrigeration 68 No. oil
|
|
| 3.
Overheating of Compressor |
-
For single stage
machine discharge pressure should be between 10 - 13
kg/cm2. If it is more it will cause heating
compressor.
-
It may be due to less
number of condenser coils.
-
Less cooling of gas in
the pipe line due to air as the condensers mounted on
congested place.
-
Less cooling of gas due
to improper water circulation on coils
-
Delivery valve choked
due to dart or dust accumulated in the delivery valve
-
More end
clearance in the thrust ring and steel ring - use
thinner to clean
|
|
|
4. Shaft Seal Leakage
|
-
If too much oil is charged in
the compressor
-
Damage of shaft seal cover O
ring
-
Damage of liner O rings
-
Grubs screw in the bronze seal
may be left its position from locking slot- get it tightened
and fit properly in the locking slot.
-
Shaft seal steel may not be
working properly
-
Damaged shaft seal cover
casting
|
|
|
5. Low Oil Pressure |
-
Paper filter may be choked or
wire filter may be choked- get it changed
-
More dust from system is
accumulated in the crank case - get it changed by diesel
-
More gap is formed between
drive & driven gears- change the gears
-
Dust may be accumulated in the
plunger, time delay piston spring path - get it cleaned
|
|
|
6. Too much time delay |
-
More dust is accumulated in the
plunger, time delay piston of spring position
-
Work out time delay piston or
oil may getting leak out through time delay NRC - change it
-
Short timing of time delay
piston spring - change it
-
Improper setting of pins of
cylinder liner- get it tested
